Wel Networks COVID-19 Updates

In order to operate safely in Alert level 2 we continue to adhere to a range of health and safety measures that have been successful in responding to COVID-19, ensuring essential electricity services can be maintained in the Waikato region. We thank you for your patience and understanding if you are experiencing any delays to work commencing, or longer timeframes for work to be completed.

Keeping safe in Alert level 2:

  • We are taking extra precautions with additional cleaning and disinfecting across all areas of our business and our equipment and vehicles. Our crew members continue to operate in work bubbles and are wearing additional Personal Protection Equipment.
  • We are capturing tracing information for the safety of our staff, customers and communities.
  • Our field crews are maintaining a 2m distance from the public. Please advise us immediately if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or if you are feeling unwell so our crew members can take additional safety measures.
