Working near power lines can be hazardous. To help keep you, your property, and our community safe, we recommend using an approved vegetation contractor when cutting, trimming, or removing trees near our power poles, lines and other network assets.
Approved vegetation contractors have the training, experience, and equipment needed to work safely around power lines and understand the requirements of the Electricity (Hazards from Trees) Regulations 2003.

- Understand required clearance distances from power lines.

- Help reduce the risk of electrical accidents, property damage, and unplanned power outages.
Tree work near power lines can be dangerous. If a tree is within 4 metres of a power line, or could fall onto a power line, do not attempt the work yourself and use one of our approved vegetation contractors.
